Experience a Move Nelson City Ride

• Move Nelson Tours will provide you with a range of experiences that will show the versatility of the Segway.
• Have a choice of rides in the Founders Park and Miyazu Gardens locality, including going along the coastal track to the city centre, with one option being to go through Founders Park itself! A unique way to see this iconic Nelson attraction! If time, try your skill around cones on the reserve area!
• Another choice of rides along the Maitai River from the I-Site up to Queens Gardens and the Botanic Gardens (home of NZ first rugby game!), with an option to ride along the coastal track to Founders Park.
• Take a ride along and through the Tahunanui beach reserve, past other activities, the Natureland zoo and picnic areas from the library, ending with some fun around the large reserve area.
• Easy to use! After a few minutes guidance from your experienced guide, you will be the master of this amazing machine! Simple technique: to go forward, just lean forwards; to stop (or reverse) just lean gently backwards. A weird but thrilling sensation that everyone quickly gets used to. Contact us for rides.
• Longer tours are still being negotiated with the authorities to enable the Segways to be operated along footpaths and across roads around the attractive parts of the city centre. These are designed to be one or two hour heritage style tours.
• Other rides being considered would be along the Stoke-Richmond cycle track, based at the Honest Lawyer and to Monaco and the airport.
